Terms & Conditions

Who We Are

Pelhan Foods (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online grocery retailer based in South Wales, United Kingdom, specialising in authentic African groceries delivered across the UK. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and any purchases made through it. By browsing our site or placing an order, you accept these Terms in full.

Eligibility to Purchase

To place an order with us, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By ordering from Pelhan Foods, you confirm that the details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method selected at checkout.

Products & Availability

We make every effort to accurately describe our products, including images, weights and ingredients, but slight variations may occur due to the nature of imported and fresh goods. All products are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to withdraw, substitute or limit the quantity of any item without prior notice if it becomes unavailable from our suppliers.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct at the time of publishing, but errors may occasionally occur; if we discover a pricing error after you’ve placed an order, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

Payment is taken in full at the time of checkout via our approved payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

Delivery

Orders are delivered in accordance with our Delivery Policy, which sets out coverage areas, delivery timeframes and charges. Delivery dates provided at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed unless stated otherwise.

Perishable & Frozen Goods

Many of our products are perishable or require refrigeration or freezing on arrival. Please ensure someone is available to receive your order promptly, particularly in warm weather. We cannot be held responsible for spoilage caused by a delay in collection or an inability to receive the delivery at the agreed time.

Refunds & Returns

Refunds, replacements and returns are handled in accordance with our Refunds & Returns Policy. Due to the perishable nature of most items, change-of-mind returns are not accepted once an order has been dispatched.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order free of charge at any point before it has been dispatched, by contacting us directly. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled, in line with the exemption for perishable goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pelhan Foods will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, logos, images and graphics, is owned by or licensed to Pelhan Foods and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute or otherwise use any content without our prior written permission.

Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Details of how we collect, use and protect your personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The version in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order, so we encourage you to review this page periodically.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of our website or purchases will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
